In episode 4 Clodagh travels to Howth where she samples its delights and meets amongst others Seán Doran fishmonger, restaurateur and general ambassador for Howth of Dorans fish suppliers fame.

Martin McLoughlin (pictured right) runs the fishmongers ‘Nicky’s Plaice’ on the West Pier set up by his father Nicky. Keen to attract young customers, Martin supplies children with fish scraps with which to feed the resident seals.

The King Sitric's head chef and proprietor Aidan McManus shows Clodagh just how Dublin Bay Prawns should be cooked.

The aforementioned Dublin Bay Prawn is famous far beyond Dublin Bay and Clodagh goes aboard a prawn trawler owned by Niall Connolly shortly before the boat goes to sea for a week’s fishing trip.

In each of the seven programmes, Clodagh visits a top seafood restaurant to cook a dish using one of the programme’s featured species.

In this tasty new series, the emphasis is on food from the sea as top food writer Clodagh travels from Donegal to Waterford and from Galway to Dublin to meet some of the fishermen, fish farmers and fish processors who are responsible for producing some of the most highly-prized seafood in the world.

As with her previous series 'Fresh From The Farmers' Markets', Clodagh concentrates on the small-scale fishermen and producers, rather than the large corporations.

'So much fabulous seafood is caught and produced around Ireland’s coast' says Clodagh.

'I want to encourage people to eat more fish, and particularly more Irish fish. And the best way to do that is to introduce the audience to the amazing men and women who battle with the elements to bring us such fantastic produce. And of course, I’ll be learning how to cook the fish with some of the best seafood chefs in the country.'

All of the restaurants featured are members of the BIM Seafood Circle which recognises and supports retailers, pubs and restaurants that consistently offer top quality seafood and service to their customers.

Clodagh hopes that 'Fresh From The Sea', which is proudly supported by Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), the Irish Sea Fisheries Board, will encourage people to eat more fish: 'Making this series was great fun and a real privilege' Clodagh adds: 'I met people who are brilliant at what they do, and passionate about it, plus I got to visit beautiful places in counties Donegal, Galway, Clare, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Wickow and Dublin. What a great job!'
